It’s nearing spring time, and throughout the country universities are letting out for spring break. We’ll be down in California this week, meeting with many of the biohacker spaces that have been long established in the Bay area. This includes dropping by Biocurious for their Build a Lab class and Counter Culture for a social.
Dr. Josiah Zayner has been at SXSW this past week for the premier of his documentary that details the process he underwent to do a micribiome transplant. Details are up on his website (very very detailed details, as you might expect from a scientist of his caliber), so we won’t be re-hashing all of them here. However, if all goes according to plan, we’ll get a short sit-down with him to get a feel for what’s new and what’s next.
Hopefully, by the time the week is over, we’ll have some posts in the hopper regarding bioprinters (DIY), lessons in starting a community biohacker space, and maybe even the synthetic biology efforts at Berkeley.
It should be an exciting week. Stay tuned for updates.
